PLU Showrunners

Actress (2015-2017), Director and Executive Producer (2017-2019)

Showrunners is the film program at PLU and is a part of the Center for Media Studies. After acting for two seasons, Megan became the Director and Executive Producer and oversaw the creation of two series. Her Junior year focused on the production of Mutual Friends, a dark comedic drama, which premiered in April of 2018. She worked on the short film series from the beginning stages all the way through the final edits to learn more about the production process and become a better leader. Megan's final season is a goofy sitcom called The Social Circle which will debut Spring of 2019. The program has allowed Megan to strengthen her writing and communication skills, practice team organization and leadership, as well as gain experience in collaborating between different teams. She is familiar with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and can effectively use Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

PLU Late Knight

Team Member (Season 1), Floor Manager (Seasons 2 and 3), Director (Season 4)

Late Knight is Pacific Lutheran University's campus comedy show. It is described as "Jimmy Fallon meets SNL" and has a monologue, featured guests, games, and performances. The shows are shown to an audience, live streamed, and archived online. All of the work is done by students and they work hard to bring their peers and community six shows a school year. Megan began Late Knight as a crew member her Freshman year and the first year of the show. She moved sets, did makeup, and helped coordinate games. Sophomore year she started floor managing and assisted the director in coordinating the show schedule and teams during tech weeks. Megan then moved to Director her senior year and ran the Tricaster system that records the shows.

The Night Show

Showrunner (2018)

The Night Show is a Tacoma based late night talk show hosted by Will Jordan and Keilani Afalava. It features hometown heroes, national guests, games, and performances. The show premiered July 2018 at Fawcett Hall in Alma Mater. Megan helped start up the event and worked on the live show structure and team coordination. She advised the crew on the technical side of the show and well as helped organize the creative aspects and show progression. The Night Show gave her more experience in managing large tasks in a tight amount of time, communicating with a variety of people, and prioritizing projects.
